Langstrasse in Kreis 4 is Zurich with its shirt unbuttoned, full of little bars and people who actually talk to you. In summer, swim at Mythenquai or Seebad Enge and lie on the wooden decks until you prune. Take the train up Uetliberg for sunset over the lake. Back in town, Kweer on Spitalgasse is the old Barfüsser reborn, a queer café by day and a bar with karaoke when it gets late.

Street Parade in August fills the lake shore with sound systems and glitter. Any other Saturday, a swim and a nap is a full day.
