Praga, across the river, is where Warsaw feels lived in, with courtyards and bars that stay open because someone is still talking. Walk the Vistula boulevards in the afternoon and, in summer, sunbathe on the city beach. Come back to the centre for a drag night at Ramona, the retro bar near the Rotunda, or spend a quieter hour at QueerMuzeum.
The Equality Parade in June is the biggest in this part of Europe. Any other Sunday, sharing chips by the river with last night's people feels like the point.
