Stay and hang with queers in Vienna

Around the Naschmarkt, Vienna's sixth district spends its evenings on the pavement with a spritz and a plate from the stall. In summer, take the U-Bahn out to the Donauinsel and swim in the river like the rest of the city. Watch the sun go from the terrace at Villa Vida, the queer café in the old Rosa Lila Villa, then linger for drag bingo or salsa if it is on.

When the cold comes, the city moves indoors for cake and gossip. In June the Pride parade loops the Ring, and the rest of the year a Sunday market wander is the nicest thing you can do.
