Stay and hang with queers in Stockholm

On a warm day, queer Stockholm heads for the lawns of Tantolunden on Södermalm, where Lyckan i Tanto pours drinks in a garden by the water. Out on Långholmen, lie on the smooth rocks and swim straight off the edge between naps in the sun. Climb Skinnarviksberget for sunset, with Riddarfjärden glittering below and the City Hall tower catching the last of the light. Bar Replik on Hornsgatan rounds the day off, a friendly little queer bar that does drag, quizzes and live music.

Between April and September, Mälarpaviljongen opens its floating decks on Lake Mälaren, all flowers and rainbow flags. Arrive for an afternoon drink by the water and you will probably still be there when the DJ starts.
