Stay and hang with queers in Oslo

In Oslo, the queer crowd takes it easy in Grünerløkka, where a stroll along the Akerselva can end at Bab Touma, a queer Syrian bar on Thorvald Meyers gate. In summer, catch the little ferry from Aker Brygge to Hovedøya for a swim and a picnic among the old monastery ruins. Save the sunset for the sloping marble roof of the Opera House, where the fjord goes still and glassy below you. After dark, The AGENDA on Storgata does drag and bingo next to Pridehuset.

When the snow comes, take the metro up to Frognerseteren, hire a sledge and race down the Korketrekkeren toboggan run, then ride the train back up and go again. Thaw out after with hot chocolate by the fire.
