Stay and hang with queers in Copenhagen

Nørrebro is Copenhagen at its loosest, with Jægersborggade for coffee and the lakes for a slow walk. In summer, jump into the harbour bath at Islands Brygge and dry off on the wooden decks with everyone else. Watch the light go long over the water, then duck into The Pond on Poppelgade, a queer bookshop and café where you can sit for hours with a coffee and a new friend.

On Sankt Hans in June, bonfires go up along the harbour and people stay out until the sky barely bothers to get dark. The rest of the year, a swim and a cinnamon bun will do.
