Stay and hang with queers in Berlin

Kreuzberg still knows how to waste an afternoon. Hasenheide fills with blankets as soon as the sun shows its face, and Tempelhofer Feld is right there if you want to cycle the old runway until your legs give up. Climb the hill in Viktoriapark as the light goes gold over the rooftops. Then wander down Mehringdamm for a drag show at Rauschgold, the queer living room that has been open since 2005.

In late May, Karneval der Kulturen takes over Kreuzberg and Neukölln with homemade floats and dancing until dark. Any other weekend, a long picnic on the Feld is plenty.
