Stay and hang with queers in Barcelona

Barcelona is at its sweetest on a plaza in Gràcia, where the queer crowd spends whole evenings on the benches of Plaça del Sol with a cold drink and nowhere to be. Give your days to the sea. Mar Bella is the queer end of the beach, and Chiringuito BeGay has the vermut when you get hungry. Before dark, climb up to the Bunkers del Carmel to watch the whole city turn pink, then head down to Poble-sec for a drag show at La Federica or a sweaty night at Apologia in Sala Apolo.

Come in August and Gràcia's streets are covered in handmade decorations for the Festa Major. Any other month, a Sunday vermut with new friends is plan enough.
